Civil servants across Europe are showing a growing appetite to learn from each other’s housing systems, driven by mounting challenges around supply, affordability, and housing exclusion.

At the European Housing Policy Network meeting in Maastricht, hosted by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior, Housing Europe’s Research Coordinator, Dara Turnbull, provided more clarity to the complexities of housing systems. He highlighted the intersection of housing issues, explored in our EqualHouse EU-funded project, and shared solutions from the #Housing2030 report by the UN and Housing Europe.

“The strength of the European Housing Policy Network lies in its ability to bring together diverse expertise from Member States,” Martijn Eskinasi of the Dutch Ministry of the Interior noted. “It’s a resource that policy research managers like me rely on to stay informed and inspired.”
