More than 40 public, cooperative, and social housing providers from Spain, Sweden, Italy, Ireland, Ukraine, Hungary, Greece, Croatia, France, Norway, Belgium, and others will compete for 15 places in the Affordable Housing Initiative European Partnership‘s free training programme.

Coordinated by Housing Europe, the Lighthouse District Learning Programme offers expert-led training to tackle the dual challenges of housing affordability and climate change.

As we review the applications, it is clear that the most common areas of interest are social innovation, energy efficiency, circular construction, and financial models—particularly those focused on attracting private capital.

The proposed projects vary widely in housing tenures and funding sources, many aligning with municipal strategies and incorporating valuable community input. Stay tuned for more updates in March, and the second round of applications is set for November.
