Using offsite manufacturing for housing construction is not new and it has been pointed out that the massive housing and labor shortage following WW2 had led to innovative engineering techniques, using for instance precast concrete, that allowed the fast delivery of millions of homes in Europe.

22 May 24 Conference Save the date Super-i: Accelerating energy efficient renovation of social housing in Belgium How to combine financial viability and maximise benefits for people and the planet? The two events are organised as part of the SUPER-i project, supporting the funding of energy efficient refurbishment of social housing stocks across Europe while increasing the share of renewable energy in the final energy consumption. It aims at generating substantial investments in energy efficiency within the social housing sector by establishing a direct dialogue among the different stakeholders, collecting relevant data on EE investments, helping to develop efficient and innovative financial schemes.

25 Jan 24 Conference Save the date Launch of Housing Europe's Manifesto to Lead the Way out of the Housing Crisis 25 January 2024 I European Parliament (SPINELLI 3G3), Brussels I 16:00-19:00 CET 2024 is EU election year. The focus on the housing crisis is growing at European level - the European Parliament held a plenary discussion in Strasbourg on the lack of affordable homes and difficulties people face to find a decent place to live. After a 13-year gap, housing ministers met to discuss shared challenges and common solutions, and this is now becoming an official part of several EU presidencies conference schedules. The next European Parliament must build up on the growing momentum.
