'Housing First': a challenge for Europe
A joint event by Union Sociale pour l' Habitat, Housing Europe, Fondation Abbé Pierre and FEANTSA
Halle Pajol - 20, esplanade Nathalie Sarraute, 75018 Paris, 5 June 2018Save the dateHouseholds across Europe are finding it increasingly difficult to access affordable housing. While the average quality of housing is improving, 11 million households are poorly housed and housing prices are rising in all countries. Homelessness has been steadily increasing for a number of years without governments managing to stem the phenomenon.
One year ahead of the European Elections, Union Sociale pour l' Habitat, Housing Europe, Fondation Abbé Pierre and FEANTSA join their forces to explore what role Europe can play to enable everyone to live in a home adapted to their needs?
The debate will kick off with the presentation of the two flagship reports on the State of Housing and the Overview of Housing Exclusion in Europe:
- Housing Europe: The State of Housing in the EU 2017
- Fondation Abbé Pierre - Feantsa: Third Overview of Housing Exclusion in Europe 2018
