HOUSEFUL CO-CREATION WORKSHOP | Vienna, Austria

On July 1st, two HOUSEFUL co-creation workshops took place for the Demo building 4 in Vienna. This workshop was organized by Neues Leben and moderated online by WE&B. Housing Europe participated and was joined by Austrian HOUSEFUL partners. A wide-range representation of various interest groups could be achieved, among them Housing Europe member GBV and other practitioners within the housing sector, from researchers to local architects and financiers. The session aimed at detecting the chances, accelerators and obstacles for circular housing in the Viennese context.

Housing Exchanges: Members Webinar Series | EU Green Recovery

The public, cooperative and social housing sector forms the 11% of the total housing stock and is a key player in the green and fair transition. In the renovation roadmaps coming from the European Commission, public, cooperative and social housing has been identified as one of the key tools for recovery, particularly because it’s a labour-intensive sector. The aim of this webinar was to hear about the expectations of the European Commission from the sector and what can be used from the EU as added value from Housing Europe members. But also, to identify any potential economic gaps and whether the existing financial tools are going to help in covering those gaps: renovation of social housing through the Structural Funds, InvestEU, Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Just Transition Fund.
