After an unpredictable cut in housing allowances in France in 2017 amounting up to 2 billion Euros, the 79th national congress of French social housing providers took place in Marseille in the second week of October aiming to find answers on how the future will look like for new construction, tenants, investments but also for the overall sustainability of the sector.

EKYL holds its 21th Forum of Apartment Associations
More than 300 housing experts and managers of apartment associations all over Estonia met in Tallinn last Tuesday, October 9th, to attend the 21th Forum of Apartment Associations organized by EKYL. These annual forums are the biggest and most recognized housing conferences in Estonia, covering the most urgent and relevant discussion topics on housing. The first Forum took place in 1998 and since then, the aim for EKYL has been to organize the Forums as a ground for housing discussions between different stakeholders – apartment associations, municipalities and state institutions in Estonia.

GdW reacts to Ministry's advisory board report
In view of the recent report of the scientific advisory board of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), GdW president Axel Gedaschko emphasized the great importance of social housing for a balanced housing policy.
