Luciano Caffini retires and says goodbye to Housing Europe members

April marked the retirement of long-standing and trusted Housing Europe colleague, Luciano Caffini. Rossana Zaccaria is now the new president of Legacoop Abitanti. Read below a note sent by Luciano to Housing Europe on this transition:
"Dear all, at the General Assembly on the 27th of April 2016 I concluded my mandate of President of Legacoop Abitanti and of ACI Abitanti (Italian Cooperative Alliance- Housing sector). After a long season of commitment and responsibilities it was time for renewal of the board and of the Presidency.
A new generation of co-operators is going to assume responsibility for the promotion of a new life cycle of the cooperative movement in the housing sector after a period of relevant changes in the housing needs and in the housing policies.
Rossana Zaccaria has been elected as new president by the assembly, unanimously after a debate which appreciated her quality and experience for the new role.
We presented at the assembly a document containing guidelines for the future, elaborated by a working group I directed for several months with the contributions of the best resources of our organisation.
In this occasion let me thank all of you for the opportunity to share long time of activity, of responsibility, of collaboration, of friendship working together for the promotion of best practices in the social and cooperative housing sector."
