In the framework of the Affordable Housing Initiative realised through our consortium, we aim to bridge EU policy and innovative best practices to help local actors deliver, based on available national and EU resources. The event is co-organised with the coordinator of the project, Housing Europe - The European Federation for Public, Cooperative and Social Housing – in partnership with l’Union Sociale pour l’Habitat.

Affordable Housing Initiative Tech Camp in Barcelona

A flagship event by Housing Europe and ECTP in the scope of the International Social Housing Festival

Choosing the right technologies and approaches in the planning phase, in the selection of building materials and systems, and throughout its lifecycle is one of the keys to respond to the challenge of the Renovation Wave targets. The Affordable Housing Initiative Tech Camp is an event where Suppliers meet Providers to discuss exactly how. Ready-to-market sustainable products and services, novel technical methodologies and smarter approaches will be presented with the objective of making them work in the affordable housing context. Participants will also be invited to discuss the pressing questions that the sector is facing in this regard, such as How to define technology pathways towards sustainability, affordability, and liveability? What barriers and gaps get in the way of mainstreaming useful technologies? How can we make innovative technologies affordable? And how to make them work for the residents?

4th International Social Housing Festival

7-9 June 2023 | Barcelona, Spain | #ISHF2023

After Amsterdam 2017, Lyon 2019, and Helsinki 2022, the 4th edition of the International Social Housing Festival will take place in Barcelona on 7-9 June 2023. ISHF 2023 will focus on the lessons to be learnt from mature as well as emerging housing systems vis-à-vis emerging social and economic challenges across the world, with a special focus on Southern Europe and extensive participation from the rest of the continent, Asia, Latin America, and North America.
