Foundation for Access to Housing
The Foundation for Access to Housing was set up in 2009 to provide access to housing for disadvantaged people at risk of insecurity, poverty and/or social exclusion. In particular, it manages its own housing or that of public or private landlords, so as to be able to offer people in need decent housing at an affordable price that meets their needs. In this way, FAL aims to empower tenants, promote their social integration and contribute to social cohesion.
Its activities are split into 3 departments.
The Agence immobilière sociale, a social rental agency, manages housing for people at risk of insecurity, poverty and/or social exclusion, with the aim of setting up social inclusion projects.
Abitatio is a social developer that develops and builds homes for people who have completed their social inclusion project but are unable to find a home on the conventional housing market.
The Social Support department intervenes as a last resort when no external service is able to provide social support for a person.
